E a batalha entre portáteis no Japão teve mais uma virada. De acordo com o instituto Media Create, empresa de referência na apuração do mercado japonês, o Nintendo 3DS foi o console mais vendido no período entre 26 de junho e 3 de julho.
Com a tomada de liderança do novo portátil da Nintendo, o PSP voltou à segunda colocação, tendo o PlayStation 3 no encalço com uma diferença pequena se comparado ao irmão "menor".
Vale mencionar que essa foi a pior semana para o PSPgo: durante o período de avaliação do instituto Media Create, o videogame da Sony vendeu apenas 7 unidades.

A tomada de posição do Nintendo 3DS teve o auxílio de "Tales of the Abyss", remake do RPG lançado originalmente para PlayStation 2 e que teve força para derrubar oponentes como "Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition" e "ToHeart 2 Dungeon Travellers".
